BioHow do I identify myself?
I teach high school science. Biology and Earth sciences have always been a driving force in my life, and I can't imagine doing anything else in my life right now.
I love nature. Walking in the park has always been a source of comfort and escape for me, and I find a great spiritual healing every time I walk amoung the trees. My latest vacation was a tour of the national and state parks of New England, and I intend to go back and hike the major mountains of each of those parks next year.
I've also developed a passion for contra dancing over the last few months. I love the music, and I'm constantly looking for a place to dance on the weekends that's close to home.
I have a passion of history, especially ancient and/or "barbarian" cultures (Greeks, Kelts, and Vikings especially).
I am an evolutionist, yet I still believe in a divine higher power.
I love to read, especially Science, Science Fiction, Fantasy, History, Historical Fiction...I think you get the picture.
My friend Odieman describes me as "A balance of extremes".
